SYNOPSIS

“Threadbare” is a story about two people who have found themselves in a uniquely indefinite long-distance relationship. Designed to initially be a mystery, we find “Maya” (Clarice Goetz) amid her daily routine, while talking on the phone to her fiancé “Colin” (Marc Rico Ludwig).

It eventually becomes clear to us her life is oddly consumed by this phone call, and the sad truth about his condition soon follows. Ultimately, she finds herself heading toward a precipitous decision which weighs heavily on her heart. // Taking naturalist inspiration from “Marriage Story”(2019) and blending it with the futurist notions of “Her” (2013) and “Black
